Christmas sounds for classrooms and holiday parties

Put the board on the projector for the last week before break. Nice List ✓ and Naughty List ✗ make a holiday right/wrong pair for quiz games, Sleigh Bells is a cheerful attention signal, and the music-box carols are short enough to use as transitions between activities. For a party, loop Crackling Fire or Winter Wind under the music, then fire the Countdown to Midnight — ten ticks, a bell peal, a cheer, a champagne pop and fireworks.

Star the sounds you use most and they'll wait on the Favorites tab next time, with keyboard keys 1, 2, 3 and so on in order. Everything on this board is original and classroom-safe.

Music box carols you can actually use

The carols on this board are traditional melodies that have been in the public domain for a century or more, played on a synthesized music box: Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Silent Night, Joy to the World, Carol of the Bells, O Christmas Tree, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and, for midnight, Auld Lang Syne. Each one plays a single verse — about six to ten seconds — so it works as a sting, a transition or an intro. Because ButtonBass generates the performance itself, the WAV you download carries no third-party copyright: use it in a video, a slideshow or a school concert program without a license.

Want to play them yourself? The virtual piano and the xylophone are a tap away.

Holiday ambience for streams, podcasts and videos

Turn on Loop and press Crackling Fire, Winter Wind or Blizzard for an endless bed — they're built to repeat without a seam. Sleigh Bells, Reindeer Trot and Elf Workshop loop in time, too. Layer them with the reactions and crowd sounds on the main soundboard, fire everything from the keyboard, and press Record to capture a whole sequence as one file.

How to use the Christmas soundboard
