These are the classic choral ranges. Most people can sing a little past both ends, and plenty of voices sit between two types.

Tips for an accurate singing range test
- Warm up first. A few minutes of humming and lip trills gives you a truer range than singing cold.
- Use a quiet room. Fans, TVs and other voices can confuse pitch detection.
- Sing a clear vowel. "Ah" or "oo" works better than a breathy or whispered sound.
- Never force it. Stop at the edge of what feels easy. Your usable range matters more than a note you can barely reach.
- Retake one end. If a note looks wrong, use Redo lowest note or Redo highest note instead of starting over.
