How to make a trap beat
- Start from a preset. Load Classic 140 or Drill Slide to hear a finished pattern, then press Play.
- Lay down the 808s. In the gold 808 Bass lane, tap steps to place bass notes. Tap a note a second time to add glide so it slides from the previous note.
- Add hi-hat rolls. Tap hi-hat steps repeatedly to cycle single hits into 2, 3, or 4-hit rolls — rolls are what make trap hats bounce.
- Place the snare and kick. A snare or clap on step 9 gives you the half-time trap feel. Line kicks up with your 808 notes for punch.
- Finish and export. Sprinkle dark bells for melody, set BPM around 130–160, add a touch of swing, and hit Export WAV to download your beat.
