The ATL Piano

This is the ButtonBeats ATL Piano Mix drums, Hi Hats, Horns, and voice loops into very smooth ATL beats! Synchronize the timing by pressing the keys on beat or by pushing the space bare / sync button. Stop all beats by clicking the stop button or by pressing the enter key. You can switch the volume controls to stay visible by clicking the volume button on the right hand side of the piano. Switch back to visuals by clicking the visuals button above the volume button. The PLAYER button is where the fun is. Click that and a text box will appear that you can scrpit out songs and have the piano play them back to you. You would click the play button to play the song. The player dubstep piano can save and open your mixes you make in the text field. You would use the "Save" and "Open" buttons to save or open your mixes. The clear button will clear all the text from the text box. The interval is the playback timing of the loops. A half interval will start the second loop half way through the first loop. The full interval will allow the first loop to play all the way before it starts the second loop. ButtonBeats.com was launched in august of 2007 by me, Jason. I had a set of music samples I wanted to mix up and I didn't have any software available so I made a program to mix them up. My friend came over and was playing the program for over an hour. So I thought It would be cool to upload it to the internet. So I bought the ButtonBeats.com domain name and uploaded a few different programs I made. A short time later I made the piano. I put the song Jingle Bells up to play on the piano. Then people began to submit many songs for the piano. After about a year I got my friend Everett involved in producing the site and getting the name out there. From there we had a friend Ariel that made music. Ariel, Everett and I spent many afternoons recording sound samples, editing the samples, designing ui, making beats, ordering beats, designing t shirts, stickers, programming and barbecuing. Within the last year we brought Stephan on board. He has skinned the whole site with a new look this summer and has other good ideas in the works right now. Between the four of us, we have the website generating over two million views a month. The site is popular all over the world and continues to grow. Thanks for being part of ButtonBeats.

Record Record using Audacity

In the drop-down menu on Audacity's Device Toolbar, choose “Wave Out” or “Stereo Mix” as the input source. (The exact name may be different, depending on your computer's sound drivers). On Windows, if you don't have a “Wave Out” or “Stereo Mix” option, or if it won't record, go to the system Control Panel and try to enable this option there. For instructions see: Using the Control Panel on the Wiki.

Mac OS X users can capture streaming audio using a programlike Soundflower (free, open source), Audio Hijack or Wiretap Pro. For more help see this page on their Wiki
